I’ve owned this drill for a little over 3 months, and overall I am not impressed. I’ve used a Milwaukee 28v too, and I think that it is a better overall drill. I’ll start with the design flaws. Plastic outer covering on the chuck. While drilling in tight quarters where I couldn’t see too well the chuck was rubbing against a cinder block and got all chewed up, then when I went to remove the bit form the chuck the chewed up fragments of plastic sliced up my hand. 2ND the switch for high torque to high speed should switch in the opposite direction (like the milwaukee 28v) while drilling along side of studs or floor joists the switch is easy to hit, therefore disengaging the drill into a neutral or between gears position, very frustrating. Lastly I was drilling an 1 1/4in hole the other day when i hit a nail, but thanks to the handle I was able to control the drill but apparently the drill can’t handle its own torque because the chuck literally snapped right off. I got this drill in a combo and I love the sawzall (unbelievably fast and powerful) and the circular saw rocks. The batteries are great as well and last very long. I admit that I am hard on my drills, but I couldn’t help but laugh while holding my drill in two pieces while reaing the brute tough logo on it.

I bought this drill because it was a bargain and I needed a cordless hammer drill. I have drilled a few holes in old concrete and it is almost as fast as my corded hammer drill. I am also using it for hole saws and large spade bits. I did manage to bog it down using a Bosch 1 1/2″ spade bit with the self feeding point. This was in hard maple. When I tried the same bit on a treated 4 x 4, it drilled through it as fast as I could push it. If you need a cordless drill with a lot of power you will like this one.

I’ve been a frugal DIYer for over 30 years but only recently tried Bosch tools (starting with their trim router). Amazing quality caused me to purchase Bosch’s Litheon Hammer drill, and now I can chuck (pun intended) my well-worn 3/8 inch corded drill out the door. All the power and features you could possibly want in a cordless drill, and the price was irresistable. I find that I also enjoy having the bragging rights to a thirty-six volt (read it- 36 volt) power tool. That’s more power than a wimpy 24-volt airplane or long-haul tractor trailer. 36 VOLTS RULE - ARGHH! ARGHH! ARGHH!
