Proxxon 38128 TBM Bench Drill Machine

This drill press is a knock off of the Micro Mark #81631 Micro Lux drill press with a few variation.
First, this unit is Made in Germany, while the original Micro Mark drill press is Made in Japan. The quality appears to be almost equal.
The Proxxon is painted in their green and mustard yellow colors. The Mirco Mark is black and grey.
The Proxxon drill press comes with and can use either their collet system or a 3/8″-24 threaded drill chuck, which is optional. The Micro Mark drill press comes with a 1/4 inch capacity chuck with no collets or capability to accept collets. For it’s intended purpose as a drill press, this is just fine.
The Mirco Mark drill press generally cost less, especially when purchased from them when on sale or with free shipping offers.
I have used both. I own the Micro Mark.

Well built machine for VERY light duty jobs. Spindle is very true, a must for small bits. The vise is not included, buy it for $20, and I also like the keyed chuck, # 28122 @ $14.70. Best solution for fine drilling.
UPDATE: The 28122 chuck will accept 1/4 inch shaft grinding stones,buffers, these shaft size items are much cheaper than Proxxon, Dremel items. I lay the machine on its side as needed to use some of these.
